Welcome to the website of St. Finbarr's Boys' N.S.

Scoil Náisiúnta Bharra Naofa, Beanntraí (St. Finbarr's Boys' National School,Bantry) is an 8 teacher Senior Boys' Catholic primary school which caters for pupils from 2nd Class to 6th Class. The school is located in Seskin, Bantry, Co. Cork.

'It is our mission and purpose to provide an educational environment,which has at the centre of its organisation, activities and relationships; values that reflect the ideals of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ, showing an abiding respect for all and supporting the development of each pupil as they strive to reach their potential academically, spiritually, emotionally and socially.

Under the Children First – National Guidance for the Protection and Welfare of Children 2011 the Board of Management has ratified the appointment of the principal Mr. B. Gleeson as the Designated Liaison Person (DLP) and Mrs. G. Hurley as the Deputy Designated Liaison Person (DDLP).

Our school has a strong tradition of implementing an inclusive policy in relation to the individual needs of all it's pupils. We have a Special Education team consisting of 3 teachers and 4 Special Needs Assistants. In collaboration with the National Educational Psychological Service (NEPS) , the Health Service Executive (HSE), the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAHMS), National Education Welfare Board ( NEWB) we endeavour to identify and support the challenges faced by some of our pupils and together with their parents promote a positive informed approach to their education.
